Complete 90-day documentation from germination to cure. Purple Vault in a 4x4 under 480W LED. Coco/perlite, hand-watered, no automation. Every feeding logged. Every mistake documented. Final yield: 487g dried. The terp profile got louder every week of cure.
Complete 90-day documentation from germination to cure. Purple Vault in a 4x4 under 480W LED. Here's everything.
Day 1-3: Germination. Paper towel method. All 4 seeds cracked within 36 hours and showed taproots by day 3. Transplanted into solo cups with coco/perlite 70/30, pre-buffered with CalMag.
Day 4-14: Seedling stage. Light misting twice daily. 200W LED at 30 inches. Temps 77F, humidity 70%. By day 10, all four showed strong first true leaves with no signs of stress.
Day 15-35: Veg. Transplanted to 5-gallon fabric pots at day 15. Bumped light to 480W at 24 inches. Started full Athena Pro feed at half strength, ramping to full by day 25. Topped once at node 5. LST started at day 20.
The Purple Vault structure is compact and bushy — perfect for a 4x4. Minimal stretch, thick stems, and broad fan leaves that suggest strong indica dominance. By day 35, the canopy was even and filled the tent.
Day 36: Flip to 12/12.
Day 36-49: Transition. The stretch was modest — about 1.5x. Preflowers appeared by day 40. The stems started showing purple pigmentation by day 45, even before the buds formed.
Day 50-70: Bulk phase. This is where Purple Vault earns its name. The buds started stacking dense and hard, with deep purple hues developing from the inside out. By week 7, every bud site was showing color. Trichome production ramped up aggressively around day 60.
Day 71-85: Ripening. We dropped night temps to 62F to push the purple even harder. EC pushed to 6.0 for peak feeding, then flushed the last 5 days with plain pH'd water. Trichomes went from mostly clear to mostly milky with about 15% amber by day 85.
Harvest day: Wet weight was 1,847g across four plants. After a 14-day hang dry at 60F/60%RH, we trimmed and weighed 487g dried. That's about 1g/W — solid for a first run with any strain.
The cure is where Purple Vault really shines. Week 1 of cure, the nose was muted — earthy, slightly floral. By week 3, the grape and berry terps exploded. By week 6, it smelled like grape soda mixed with diesel. The terp profile literally got louder every single week.
Final verdict: Purple Vault is a set-it-and-forget-it strain. Minimal maintenance, incredible bag appeal, and a stone that puts you in the couch and keeps you there. 10/10 would run again.
